About ERHS

The mission of East Richland High School is "excellence in teaching and learning for each and every student." This mission is accomplished through a dedicated faculty that strives to provide all students with a rigorous and relevant 21st Century curriculum. Students are challenged and stretched academically at ERHS, but attention is also given to a student's emotional, social, and physical development.

ERHS students earn 28 credits for graduation through a balance of core academic and elective courses. This is accomplished within a 4-Bock schedule that allows students to take four classes per day with each class lasting 85 minutes. Some classes are even offered before school to allow greater flexibility for student scheduling.

Any student leaving ERHS after four years is well-prepared for college or a career. There are many high school courses that can be taken for college credit. These courses may transfer to two- and four-year institutions within degree programs, or they may transfer to vocational programs that allow a student to receive certification in various career fields. Also, students can participate in school-to-work programs while attending ERHS. These programs provide students with the necessary skills to successfully enter the labor force right out of high school.

In addition to these opportunities for students, ERHS has an extensive program for extra-curricular offerings. Students may choose to participate in a full range of athletic, academic, music, or fine arts activities.
