Morning Bulletin

Every day, the High School Office publishes a Daily Bulletin. The bulletin includes student announcements, extra-curricular information, sports events, cafeteria information, and more. The Daily Bulletin is made available in the mornings, usually before 10AM. It is sent to all teachers, is posted throughout the building, and is posted here.


Students, parents, and community members may now have the Daily Bulletin emailed directly to them when it is published. Simply join the ERHS Daily Bulletin Delivery mailing list by following the instructions below.

TODAY’S MEETINGS
·         Art Club meeting today during 5th block in the Art room.
 
·         Fellowship of Christian Athletes will meet in Mr. Smith’s room during 5th Block today.
 
·         Interact Club will meet today during 5th Block in the Sliva Auditorium. After a short business meeting, Maj. Waldhoff, Senior Instructor of the JROTC at ERHS, will give a program on his experiences in the Army.
 
·         There will be a walls/ceilings Prom Committee meeting today during 5th block in Mrs. Aldrich’s room.
 
·         Poultry judging practice in Mr. VanDyke’s room after school today and every day this week. All interested need to attend.
GUIDANCE
·         SENIORS – Here is a great opportunity for help with completion of your FAFSA. Audra Clodfelter, with the Illinois Student Assistance Commission, will be here on Thurs., Feb. 9 and Thurs., Feb. 16 in the Open Lab. She will be available from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. to assist you and your parents are also invited. Please sign up in the Guidance Office, if you plan to attend one of these sessions and bring your tax information.
OTHER ANNOUNCEMENTS
·         There will be an Entrance Prom Committee meeting on Thurs., Feb. 9 in Mrs. Aldrich’s room during 5th block.
 
·         The dance team still needs two or three Junior or Senior boys to dance at half-time of the Varsity game Senior Night. See Mrs. Milam in the high school office for more information and to sign up.
 
·         Football helmets on sale for $30. Contact Coach Music if interested.
 
·         Fri., Feb. 17 will be a “White Out” Cancer night when our Olney Tigers play Salem here at home! Come support the Tigers and wear white! Special t-shirts will be available and all proceeds will go to our local American Cancer Society. T-shirt orders will be taken through Feb. 10. Orders need to be turned in to Coach VanDyke with your $10.00 payment. You can see the shirt design on our school website or on order forms found in the High School Office or from Coach VanDyke.
 
·         Tickets for the Winter Dance on Feb. 11th will be sold after lunch at the front entrance. Tickets purchased in advance will cost $3 per person; tickets will cost more at the door.
 
·         Attention Students: Any ERHS student wanting to bring a non-ERHS guest to the Winter Formal on Feb. 11 needs to sign them up in the high school office. Middle School students or any high school dropouts will not be allowed to come as a guest. In addition to signing up the guest, students must take a copy of the “Guest Request Form for Dances” and have it completed by the appropriate people (guests that have been previously approved for this school year only need to be signed up in the high school office). All completed forms must be turned in to the high school office by Fri., Feb. 3. Failure to follow this process will result in non-admittance of the guest.
